MailMarshal 6.0 has just been released. Below is a list
of exciting significant new features incorporated into the

Scalability and Management
MailMarshal 6.0 delivers a new integrated management system
to handle the requirements of even the largest enterprise
customers. MailMarshal can fully manage multiple servers
from a single interface. This means that administrators
can define policy, apply changes and manage quarantined
email from a centralized management console. Configuration
changes are distributed to all MailMarshal servers automatically.
Integrated Anti-Spam System
MailMarshal 6.0 delivers a comprehensive system to significantly
improve the management of Spam whilst minimising administrative
costs .
MailMarshal SMTP acts as a gateway filter, isolating Spam
at the boundary to the corporate network. This keeps Spam
away from internal email servers and users' desktops, where
it can be not just an annoyance, but potentially offensive
and a source of liability issues for an organization.
MailMarshal SMTP is widely regarded as one of the world's
best corporate anti-Spam solutions. MailMarshal regularly
achieves spam blocking rates of greater than 95% and false
positive rates (legitimate messages incorrectly classified
as spam) of less than 0.01%.
Web Based Spam Management
MailMarshal 6.0 delivers an intuitive Web management console.
Users can review Spam messages addressed to all their accounts
from a single login. They can release messages, manage personalized
lists of approved or banned email senders, and even delegate
management of their Spam to another person, such as a personal
assistant.
Spam Digests
MailMarshal 6.0 allows you to deliver a regularly scheduled
report to each user, summarizing messages addressed to them
that MailMarshal has quarantined as Spam (or for any other
reason you choose). Users can identify potential spam false
positives from this digested notification and release them
with a single click, or use the Spam management Web site
to get further information.
Web Based Console
System Administrators, managers, and Help staff can now
administer MailMarshal from any location through a fully
functional Web-based management Console.
Delegated Management
MailMarshal 6.0 provides a new security model that allows
you to delegate daily email administrative tasks to staff
with different levels of trust. You can give each department
manager a view of their department's email, or allow helpdesk
staff to perform a few functions for all users' email.
Secure DMZ Deployment
MailMarshal 6.0 offers the advantages of a split security
model for deployment of MailMarshal email processing within
a DMZ environment. MailMarshal nodes can be installed within
the DMZ, with database and policy management functions performed
from within the trusted network. The management interface
between the DMZ and the trusted network only requires a
single firewall port, simplifying setup and increasing security.
Additional Reports
MailMarshal 6.0 provides new summary reports for spam, virus
incidents and quarantined messages. These reports feature
improved Return on Investment (ROI) information based on
savings estimates as well as graphical representations of
essential statistics for management.
