There has been a recent flood of German political spam
emails hitting users in Australia & New Zealand.
These emails are linked to the sober.h worm where
an infected computer sends out copies of these spam emails.
A new Text Censor Script issued is working well & will
enhance the spam detection of these messages. Please follow
the instructions below to create a new rule and a new Text
Censor script regarding these German spam messages.
1. Please download the file germanspam.xml to a
temporary location:
http://www.virusdefence.com.au/dl/client/client_files/gateway/germanspam.xml
2. Create a new text Censor script: German Spam
Censor
MailMarshal configurator -> Text Censor Script ->
New Text Censor -> Import the xml file germanspam.
3. Create a new rule to make use of the new Text
Censor Script.
Standard Rule: German spam
When a message arrives
Where message is incoming
Where message triggers text censor script(s) 'German Spam
Censor'
Move the message to 'Spam'
